Maintenance
Steps for High Speed Handpieces
|
- Prior to removing from hose, run
handpiece for 10 seconds.
- Clean externally with a
degreaser/cleaner. NEVER USE SOAP OR WATER!
High heat cause soap to crystallize, causing bearings to seize, water
causes rust deposits internally!
- Apply 3-5 drops of handpiece
lubricant to intake side of handpiece (shown above). Please use a low
viscosity lube.
|
|
IF LUBE DOES NOT EXPEL FROM HEAD CLEAR AND CLEAN
REPEAT THE PROCEDURE
|
| 4.
Remove bur, bag handpiece. Make sure to elevate the head, so that
sediments may run down the tube rather than rest in bearings where they
may cause rust deposits. |
|
Do
Not Use Dry Heat, Which May Damage Internal Parts.
|
| 5. Upon
completion of sterilization cycle, open bag to air dry. |
|
Never
Leave Handpieces In Sterilizer Over Night.
|
|
It Is Unnecessary To
Re-lube When Using A Synthetic Lube
|
|
|
|
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
|
- Flush
handpiece with degreaser/cleaner or lube on the intake side of the
handpiece(shown above) until solution runs clear through the head.
- Spray
lube directly into chuck, especially if it is an auto chuck(push button
or lever).
- Follow
above steps 1-5.

|
LIFE-TIME LUBE BEARINGS
|
- Clean
handpieces externally with a degreaser/cleaner.
- DO
NOT USE LUBE INTERNALLY OR RUN ON A FLUSH SYSTEM! (Cleaners and lube
will break down the special grease that is used in the bearing and will
void the warranty)
